Interested in of the most beautiful spots of Albania? Sotira waterfalls for sure is part of this list. Located near Gramsh in the Tomorri Mountain National Park, Sotira waterfalls is a must visit outdoor destination.

 

How to get to Sotira Waterfalls

There is only one way to get there. If your starting point is Tirana, you need to follow the Tirana-Elbasan highway. When you pass the highway, you turn right to Gramsh. During the road trip to Gramsh, you will enjoy the views of Tomorri mountain and Banja lake and Devolli lake. After you arrive in Gramsh follow the signs to Sotira village. After the Devoll river bridge, the road is unpaved. You just follow the road! If you have a 4×4 car, you can reach the Sotira village easily, but if you don’t, you need to leave the car in a distance from Kushova village which is around 4 km from Sotira village. From Sotira village, you can arrive in Sotira waterfalls by walking.

If you don’t have a car, you can pay a 4×4 taxi in the city of Gramsh.

When you arrive in the Sotira waterfalls you will be amazed by the two waterfalls.

Best season to go there and what to eat

Definitely, the best season to go there is spring. Because of the snow melt, the water capacity significantly increases.  During the path from Sotira village to Sotira waterfalls there are some bars where you can enjoy a drink or eat something, but you can take food in your backpack as well. The last supermarket is located in Gramsh, so there isn’t any supermarket in Sotira village. People in Sotira are very friendly.

 

We started the walk from Kushova village, because we didn’t have a 4×4 car, total distance: 13.77 km.
