Every photograph on alpventurer.com is mine unless a credit says otherwise. I took them on my own hikes, mostly in the Western Balkans and the Alps. They are protected by copyright: © Granit Temaj, all rights reserved.
This page explains what you can do with them freely, and how to license a photograph for anything else.
What you can do without asking
- Look at the photographs, and save or print pages for your own personal use.
- Share a link to any page or guide.
- Use the share buttons on a guide (WhatsApp, Facebook, Pinterest, X, email). They show the photograph as a preview and link back to the guide.
What needs a licence
Anything else needs my written permission first. For example:
- using a photograph on a website, blog, newsletter or social media account (other than sharing a link);
- printing it in a book, magazine, guidebook, brochure, poster or calendar;
- using it in an advert, a presentation, a video or on TV;
- putting it on products you sell, such as postcards, prints or clothing;
- editing it: cropping it into a design, adding text, filters or a logo;
- using it to train or feed an AI system.
This applies to commercial and non-commercial use alike.
How to license a photograph
- Find the photograph and copy the link to the page it is on. If the page has several, tell me which one (its caption helps).
- Write to me at hello@alpventurer.com with the photograph or photographs you would like; where and how you want to use them (website, print, advert, size, print run); for how long, and in which countries; and your name, and your company if there is one.
- I reply with a price and a short licence in writing. You can use the photograph once the licence is agreed and paid.
The photographs on the site are smaller than the originals. With a licence, I send you a full-resolution file.
Press and editorial use
Writing about a place I have photographed? I am happy to help with photographs for articles, often at short notice. My photographs have appeared in The Sun and El País. Write to me with the article and the deadline.
Prints
If you would like one of my photographs as a print for your own home, ask me at hello@alpventurer.com.
Credit
When you use a photograph under a licence, credit it as: Photo: Granit Temaj / alpventurer.com
On the web, please link the credit to alpventurer.com.
Photographs by other people
A few photographs on the site were taken by other people. Their name is in the caption, and the copyright stays with them. Ask them, or ask me and I will put you in touch.
Texts and GPS tracks
My texts, maps and GPX tracks are covered by the Terms.
Found my photograph somewhere?
If you see one of my photographs used without a credit or a licence, I would be grateful for a short note with the link. If you are the one using it, write to me: in most cases we can sort it out with a licence.
