The path is well-marked, leading you past a settlement of houses and onto a field path. As you hike past a radio mast and gain altitude, the trail takes you through a sparse forest, crossing two streams over quaint wooden bridges. The path steepens as the forest thickens, eventually opening up to stunning views of the Tannheimer Valley. After reaching a saddle between Aggenstein and Brentenjoch, a short climb to the left takes you to the Bad Kissinger Hütte, a perfect spot for a breather and to soak in the views.
